| Training on polls for BLOs held | | | Reasi, Nov 3: A daylong training on procedure for the conduct of Poll and familiarization of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) today for the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of AC 58-Reasi, AC 59-Gool Arnas and AC 57-Gulabgarh was held at Reasi.
The training was addressed by the District Election Officer Reasi-Shabir Ahmad Bhatt, who highlighted the significance of BLOs for the upcoming December 02 elections.
He directed the BLOs to understand the model code of conduct and keep a vigil on any poll violation. If any violations are found, they should pass on the information to the zonal level officers and the Returning Officers. DEO further called upon the BLOs to cooperate with the administration, and make all necessary efforts to ensure smooth conduct of polling in the district.
Nodal Officer Man Power & Training-Manu Hansa presented training on EVM operations and gave a complete demonstration of the EVM to the trainees.
The staff was informed about 'None of the Above' (NOTA) option, use of electronic voting machine (EVM), methodology of voting and preparations at polling booths. They were also told about arrangements made for physically challenged and visually challenged voters. |
