Jammu, Dec 2 : Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) today inaugurated 3-day 'On the spot children Music Competition' here at K L Saigal Hall, Jammu in which large number of participants indifferent categories participated. Anjali Sharma, Incharge Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Jammu was the Chief guest while Soujanya Sharma, Director, Information was the guest of honour. In her address the chief guest, Mrs Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan Kendra, expressed her great concern and happiness for this on the spot music competition organized by JKAACL for the children of all age group. She said that this was the only stage where she participated for the first time as child artist. Complementing all the participants she hoped that they will continue their journey in this field and will grow as an established artist in future. In his address Guest of Honour, Director Information, Soujanya Sharma said that such type of competitive functions will help the students to discover their latent talent. He further said that the young generation must avail these kind of opportunities in which they can improve their all round personality. Dr Arvinder Singh 'Amn' , Additional Secretary , J&K Cultural Academy presented welcome address and informed 70 students of different schools and institutions from infant and junior group participated. In infant (vocal light) Shruti Manhas from JK Police School, Miran Sahib, Stanzin Edzes from GD Goenka Public School and Sukriti Sharma d/o Neeraj Sharma got top three ranks respectively while Merit certificates were given to Dhanya Sharma from GD Goenka School, Harsa Singh from Swaranjali Sangeet Vidhyalya and Jessika from JK Police School, Miran Sahib. In infant (vocal classical) Paviter Sharma, Haripriya from Aarohi Sangeet Vidhyalya and Sanvi Anand from Sarsvati Kala Mandir, Jammu were declared top three winners respectively whereas certificates of merit were given to Rishan Gupta from Aarohi Sangeet Vidhayalya, Sia Nagpal from Sharda Sangeet Sadan, Karishna Mahajan from Swaranjali Sangeet Vidhyalya. In Infant group (instrumental) Sidharath Bhogal and Vidit Shirish werte declared forst and second prize winner. In junior group (Vocal Light) Sanviti Digras and Tanishka Tickoo both from G D Goenka School were declared first and second while three consolation prizes were also given to Jatin Gupta from JK Police School, Miran Sahib, Arsh Preet Kaur and Kirti Gour both from Swaranjali Sangeet Vidhyalya, Jammu. Meantime Certificates of Merit were given to Diksha Babber of Air Force School, Satwari, Yagya of SOS Herman School and Sneha Kohli of Swaranjali Sangeet Vidhyalya, Jammu. In junior group (vocal classical) Harbans kaur from Swaranjali Sangeet Vidhayalya, Jammu, Aryan Salgotra of Saptak Sangeet Niketan, Jammu bagged first and second ranks respectively while Kunwar Langer of Aarohi Sangeet Vidhyalya, Hirdeshte Mahajan and Rakshit Mehta of GD Goenka Public School, Jammu were given consolation prizes. Certificate of merit were awarded to Aabhas Sharma from Udhampur, Samridh Sharma from Sharda Sangeet Sadan, Gandhi Nagar and Srijita of Aarohi Sangeet Vidhyalya, Jammu. Meanwhile in Junior group (instrumental.) Samyak Shirish and Aryansh Khajuria were declared first and second prize respectively while consolation prizes were given to Divyen Sharma, Navneet Singh from JK Police School Miran Sahib and Manant Singh from Swaranjali Sangeet Vidhyalya. A panel of adjucators comprising Prithvi Raj Sharma, Dr Usha Bhagati and S Amarjeet Singh adjudged the performances of the participants. Dr Sudhir Mahajan, Sr Drama Instructor, J&K Cultural Academy conducted proceeding of programme while Rajesh was on synthesis and Shashi Kalotra accompanied on harmonium. |
