Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 2 : Principal Sessions Judge, Jammu, R S Jain today rejected the bail application of one Tahir who was allegedly involved in kidnapping case. On November 15 last, a man filed a written complaint with police station, Domana, alleging therein that his daughter Sumakshi Koul (27) left home at 8 AM for her job which is in a transport company at Nanak Nagar but did not return home in the evening. He alleged that he received a phone call from mobile phone Nos - 9797396136 and 906354207 - telling him that his daughter had been kidnapped. The caller also threatened them to keep quiet. On receipt of this complaint, FIR No 429/2014 for offence under section 366/109 of RPC was registered at police station, Domana. The judge, after hearing both the sides, observed that as per the police report, petitioner Mohammad Tahir had assisted the main accused in kidnapping Sumakshi Koul who is yet to be recovered. Looking at the serious nature of the offence and the investigation being at early stage, this court is of the view that no good ground has been made out by the petitioner for being enlarged on bail and dismissed the bail application.
