Jammu, Dec 2: During the month of November, 2014, the State Vigilance Commission received 137 complaints of different nature relating to malpractices and corruption against the public servants and decided 118 complaints on merits. As per press release, since inception the Commission has received 2089 complaints, out of which 1025 have been decided on merits. Remaining 1064 complaints are at various stages of disposal. The Commission in its steadfastness has been hearing the complaints and other cases on regular basis both at Srinagar and Jammu. The Commission has also got published the details regarding website, email address, office location and the application format for lodging complaints against any public servant as defined in section 2 (g) of the J&K State Vigilance Commission Act, 2011, for the convenience of the general public. Moreover, the list of Chief Vigilance Officers/Departmental Vigilance Officers and District Vigilance Officers of various Government Departments has also been published in the print media who can also be approached by the public for lodging any compliant. |
