| Kohli of BJP, Qmar of PDP file nomination papers | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Dec 2: Accompanied with large number of supporters AG Kohli, BJP candidate from Kalakot constituency, Qamar Hussain, PDP candidate from Rajouri constituency and Ashad Bari Shah PDP candidate from Kalakot filed their nomination at Rajouri and Kalakot.
According to District Election officials, till today 31 candidates have filed their nomination papers for four Assembly Constituencies of Rajouri district. Prominent among those are former Health Minister and sitting Congress MLA, Shabir Ahmed, former Minister Mirza Abdul Rashid (NC), sitting MLA from Kalakot Thakur Rashpal, former Minister and BJP candidate Thakur Puran Singh and former Congress MLA, Ashok Sharma (Kalakot) have filed their nomination papers before the concerned election authorities.
It was a festive look in Rajouri city today as hundreds of vehicles of the supporters following their respective candidates arrived time to time in Gujjarmadi Chowk and then towards Deputy Commissioner Office area.
Accompanied with huge gathering of supporters, Sitting PDP MLA from Darhal, Ch Zulfikar said that this huge support of the people is testimony that people are openly supporting PDP while National Conference would become a history in J&K.
Terming Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as revolutionary leader, Chowdhary said that in his 3 years tenure he has given one University and one highway besides so many other works were completed during the tenure. He appealed people to strengthen the hands of PDP for prosperous J&K. |
