BGSBU announces admissions for M.Phil, Ph.D for year 2015 1/16/2015 10:41:37 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Jan 16 : Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) authorities on Friday announced admission process for research Progra-mmes for (M. Phil & Ph. D) for the year 2015. According to press release, as per schedule January 30, is the last date for receipt of applications for M.Phil and Ph.D programmes. The University has issued notification for M.Phil in in Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Management Studies, Computer Sciences, Arabic, Math and applied Mathematics while students may join Ph. D in Botany, Zoology, Arabic, Management Studies, Math and Applied Mathematics. They said that the admission will be made strictly in accordance with the UGC regulations governing minimum standard for research degrees and applicants are subjected to qualify Entrance Test and face interview to display their knowledge of the subject and aptitude for research. Applicants holding fellowships will be considered to Ph. D programmes in School of Biosciences and Biotechnology. "Students can also be downloaded from BGSBU website www.bgsbuniversity.org and submitted along with Bank Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, for Rs. 1200/," they added and informed upbeat about the research pursuits in progress in the University and highlighting the achievements of the BGSBU with in a short span of 5 years Prof IA Hamal, VC said, " At present 50 scholars are on roll in different Schools of the University who are engaged in Research projects sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi, U.G.C, Ministries of Science & Technology and Environment and Forests" They also said that many Scholars of the university have also passed NET and are holding UGC/UGC-CSIR Fellowships.
