Sarpaches of block Kishtwar calls on ACD Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report kishtwar, Jan 16: A deputation of Sarpanches of old Kishtwar block comprises of 32 Panchayats led by its President Manoj Parihar today called on Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar and demanded immediate release of pending MGNREGA wages for the year 2013-14. While talking to "Early times", President Sarpach Union old Kishtwar Block Manoj Parihar said that despite completion of jobs, job card holders are yet to get payments. Due to non availability of the departmental cement for Pacca paths, he said that the officials of the Rural Development Department (RDD) directed the local purchase of cement but the department now failed to make the payments against cement purchase. "Delegation also demanded a probe in embezzlement of 450 bags of cement issued against the construction of Panchayat Ghar at Pakalan Thakrie, which yet has not been constructed, he added. He said that the delegation also apprised DDC that the decision taken by the Panchayats in respect of various developmental works through "Dahi Majlis" has not been incorporated in the annual plan 2014-15. They also took up the matter that department also fails to conduct monthly meetings since last year September with regard to functioning of 14 departments put under Panchayats control. After giving patience hearing, ACD Kishtwar Akther Qazi assured the Sarpanches that all the issues raised by them will be looked into and issued on spot directions for addressing of the same. He also assured action in case any employee of the department found guilty. The delegation comprised Sarpanches Narayan Dutt Sharma, Satish Kumar Baghat, Ramesh Rathore, Baldev Singh Rana, Abdul Hamid Mir Sharwan Singh and others. |
