Revenue officials of Bandipora lands in vigilance net 1/17/2015 12:12:40 AM Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 16: An inquiry conducted by State Vigilance Department Kashmir into the allegations regarding acquisition of disproportionate assets by Javed Ahmad Shah Jr Asstt. Municipal Committee Bandipora revealed that the officers/officials of Revenue Deptt. Bandipora have by way of abuse of their official position hatched conspiracy and prepared a fraudulent and illegal gift deed corresponding loss to the state exchequer to the tune of Rs1.75 lakhs. According top official spokesperson, the verification conducted by Vigilance Organization Kashmir into the allegations regarding acquisition of disproportionate assets by Javed Ahmad Shah Jr Asstt Municipal Committee Bandipora has revealed that the officers/officials of Revenue Deptt. Bandipora have by way of abuse of their official position hatched conspiracy with Nazia Hassan w/o Javed Ahmad Shah of Papchan Bandipora in the year 2010-11 have with dishonest intention prepared a fraudulent and illegal gift deed whereby land measuring 1 kanal and 18 marlas purchased from one Gh Rasool Sheikh s/o Gh Ahmad Sheikh of Gamro for an amount of Rs 29 lakhs has been shown transferred by way of oral gift from one Ashmi mother of Gh Rasool Sheikh r/o Gamroo to Nazia Hassan w/o javed Ahmad Shah of Papchan vide mutation No 348 dated 25/4/1999. Official statement said when the fact of the matter is that the said Ashmi had died some 25 years ago and this practice has been done to avoid the stamp duty and thus have conferred pecuniary advantage to themselves and corresponding loss to the state exchequer to the tune of Rs.1.75 lakhs. "The omissions and commissions on the part of the above named public servants attracts the offences punishable u/s 5(1)(c), (d) r/w 5(2) P.C.
