| JKP XI, Sarveshwar Club register win in 3rd Christmas T-20 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 16: JKP XI and Sarveshwar club registered win and enters in the semifinal round of on-going 3rd Christmas Twenty-20 Cricket Cup for College Students and J&K Cricketers at Parade Cricket Ground, here today.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Shakeel Beig DIG Jammu and Fr. Kuriakose Chairman Christian Sports Org. Jammu and Rajesh Gill former Ranji Player is the organizing Secy. of the tournament.
Earlier, in the first match JKP XI defeated PG Law & Sciences by 3 wickets. Batting first, PG Law and Sciences scored 132 runs in stipulated 20 overs for all wickets, with Gourav (32), Vishwajeet (26) and Vinay (26) were the main scorers.
Skipper Rajesh Gill took 2 wickets, whereas Shashi, Shamsher, Vishal and Ankush took 1 wicket each.
JKP XI in reply achieved the target in 18 overs for 7 wickets thus won the match by 3 wickets. Shashi scored 45 runs, Suman Koul made 26 runs and Farooq scored 24 runs. Gourav took 3 wickets, Rahul and Vishwajeet took 1 wicket each for his team. Shashi declared man of Match.
In the second match, Sarveshwar Club scripted a comfortable win against Youth Club Bhaderwah.
Batting First Sarveshwar Club made 127 runs in 18 overs for 8 wickets with Hanon (43) and Kavi (13) were the main scorers. Aqib took 3 wickets, Khalid, Mohsin and Mudasir took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Youth Club Bhaderwah could not achieve the target and were all out for 121 runs in 17.3 overs with Abir (38) and Arshad (25) were the main scorers. Pankaj took 3 wickets, Hanon and Pardeep took 2 Wickets each.Hanon adjudged Man of the Match. The matches were officiated by Suhail Yusuf, Nitu Khokher,Sanju, Vinod and Farooq. |
