SC, AHC reach semifinal in ongoing Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub Jr Hockey Tournament 1/17/2015 12:12:55 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 16: Sittu Club Simbal Camp Hockey Club and Ajit Club Gole Gujral camp today reached the semifinal of ongoing Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub Junior Hockey tournament organized by Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation at K.K. Hakku Stadium Jammu under the aegis of Hockey J&K. Rajinder Singh Kuku treasurer, hockey India was the guest of honour in todays matches. After getting introduced to the playing teams, he said that he will make his best efforts to promote hockey in J&K and more and more such tournaments will be organized. He further added that Government should install new Astroturf’s in J&K. He whole heartedly appreciated Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh foundation for organizing this tournament for U-16 Category. In the first match played today, Sittu Club got walk over against Zorawar Club Satwari as Zorawar Club failed to report for match. In second match, Ajit Hockey Club Gole Gujral defeated Hockey Club by 4-0. Mandeep Singh scored 1st goal in 2nd minute , 2nd goal by S Prabhjot Singh in 32nd minute, 3rd goal by S. Gurdip Singh in 40th minute and 4th goal by S. Pawandeep Singh in 42nd minute. Others present on the occasion included S.Avtar Singh, Hardev Singh and Charanjit singh, Tirlok Singh, Davinder Bakshi and other sports lovers. The matches were officiated by Jagjit Singh, Dalbir Mehta, Joginder Singh, S. Charanjit Singh, S. Jaspreet Singh, Ravinder Singh and G.S. Bakshi as tournament director. 1st Semifinal match will be played between Guru Nanak Hockey Club vs Sittu Hockey Club at 1.00 pm and Ajit Club Goal Gujral vs MBS Hockey Club will be 2nd Semifinal match at 2.30 PM at KK Hakku Stadium Jammu on 17th January 2015. Final of the tournament will be played at 2 .00 PM on 19th January 2015. The Chief Guest for prize distribution function will Dr. Ab.
