JAMMU, Jan 16: Diksha Kalsotra shall be playing against Prabhjyot Kour in the women's singles final in the ongoing 41st State Badminton Championship, organised by the J&K Badminton Association at J&K Police Indoor hall, here.
The semifinals, played today, Diksha Mahajan defeated Suvidha in straight sets of 21-17, 21-04 while Prabhjyot trounced Diksha Mahajan in similar manners making it 2-1 (21-07, 21-16).
In the meantime, Raghav Dogra has qualified for the under-19 boys' singles final after he defeated Adam 2-1 (15-21, 21-18, 21-14) in the semifinals today. Earlier, the under-13 boys' singles title went to Amit, who beat Aesh Goswami 21-15, 21-19. In the semifinals, Amil beat Aryan Sharma 21-08, 21-04 and Aesh defeated Puranjay of Udhampur 21-14, 24-22.
The under-13 boys doubles title won by the duo of Aesh and Puranjay, who beat Rajbit and Prajwal 21-10, 21-08. The under 13 girls' doubles final won by the pair of Naman and Bhavani after they defeated Rashmi and Sharuti 21-12, 21-18. In semifinals, Naman and Bhavani beat Mirnalini and Anandita 21-10, 21-06 and Rashmi and Sharuti trounced Ayushi and Riya 20-22, 23-21, 21-17. The under-19 girls' doubles title clinched by the duo of Naman and Peehushi, who beat the pair of Rupal and Mitakshara 21-14, 11-21, 22-20. In semifinals, Naman and Peehushi beat Bhavni and Rashmi in straight equal sets of 21-10, 21-10 while Rupal and Mitakshara got walkover Reetika and Swati. In men's doubles event, Vipul Saini and Vikram have made it to the final beating Sunil and Munish 21-06, 22-16 in the semifinals. |
