Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 4: Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has the distinction to be the largest First-aid provider in the World and is internationally recognized for providing trainings in First-aid. Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State Branch, besides other humanitarian activities, is also the lead agency to impart First-Aid trainings in the State of J&K. According to press release, a series of First-aid Training programmes for village level Committee members organized by Action Aid in collaboration with Yateem Trust and facilitated by Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu & Kashmir State Branch concluded today. The trainings were held for the village level Committee members in various districts of the State. During the trainings the participants are trained in handling various Cardiac and Respiratory emergencies, injuries, wounds and fractures, head and spine injuries, burns and electric shocks, animal bites and poisoning, recovery position and CPR, safe handling and transportation of injured Advocating the services, Roma Wani, General Secretary IRCS, J&K State said that over the last one and half years Red Cross has developed a team of National Level Trainers in First-aid & Disaster Management and special courses of National Standard ranging from One-Day Basic Course to 5-Days Comprehensive Courses have been developed. |
