Jammu, Feb 4 (JNF): Principal Sessions Judge Jammu R S Jain today rejected the bail application of one Ahmed Raza who was arrested by the police in smuggling of charas. After hearing both sides, Principal Sessions Judge Jammu R S Jain, said in view the ever increasing menace of drug peddling and its ramifications on the society and added the court is the view that no good ground is made out by the petition and hence it rejected the same. According to the police case that on 6/12/2014 at DC Office Crossing, Jammu, Incharge Police Station Pir Mitha, Jammu during checking stopped motorcycle No.1570/JK02AQ driven by accused Ahmed Raza and recovered a charas weighing 225 grams from his possession. A case against FIR No.97/2014 for offence u/s 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against the accused and later the challan was filed against the accused. |
