Kathua, Feb 4: A team of Legal Metrology Department Kathua headed by Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Kathua Ajay Verma conducted intensive checking of various Business establishment and imposed fine of Rs 32000.
The team was comprised of the Inspector Legal Metrology Kathua and Dayala Chack Vicky Sharma and Devi Lakhanpuria. Team checked especially Gas Agencies, Wholesale Dealer, Karayana shops,Atta Chacki, Bakery Shops , Hardware stores, Meat Shops, Cement and Steel Traders at Shadedi Chowk, Parliwand, industrial area Hatli Morh,Pallimorh, Nihalpur,Patyari, Sakta Chack, kalibari, Logate morh, Rajbagh, Chadwal , Marheen, chan Arrorian, Hiranagar Phinter, and adjoining Areas.
During Inspection numbers of traders were inspected. A total of 17 traders were booked for violation of various provisions of J&K Weights and Measures Enforcement Act 1997.and Package Commodities Rules and a penality of Rs 32000 was imposed on the erring traders for violation of various provisions of J&K weights and Measures Act 1997and Package Commodities Rules during the month of January 2015. |
