With an aim to create awareness among the students and faculty, the unit under the supervision of Monika Bajaj, Incharge, Environment Unit conducted three activities to save the environment from chemical "dump." Bajaj oriented the students about the benefits of the vermicompost by showing the compost pit, which was already created by the unit. In addition, the students of the unit prepared "Bio-pesticide" using "Neem" as a main ingredient to protect the plants in the campus from pests and microbial diseases. Dr. Renu Gupta sprayed the bio-pesticide solution on the plants in the garden and encouraged the staff and students to make and use the same in their homes. In order to raise the level of the ground water, a pit was dug in the garden by the students to collect the waste water from the school. Stones were used in the pit to filter waste products and also to prevent water from evaporation.
