Jammu, Feb 10: A meeting of Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Local Committee for Jammu areas held under the chairmanship of Vipra Bhal, Labour Commissioner in which several important issues were discussed in the meeting and decisions made to improve the services being provided to insured employees under ESI Scheme in Jammu, Katra and Udhampur which included the Medical Facilities being provided through ESI Hospital. The meeting was attended by Dr. Rehana Kausar, Administrative Medical Officer, ESI Scheme, Govt. of J&K, C.P. Verma, Representating employers and Harbans Chaudhary, B.M.S, alongwith other stakeholders Bansilal, R.B. Jodhamal School, Jammu and Vijay Kumar, Shivam Industries besides the Medical Officers of ESI Dispensaries Talab Tillo, Digiana and Bari Brahamana besides Dr. Krishan Kumar, ESI Panel Doctor from Katra. The Committee informed that ESIC Jammu & Kashmir Region has taken special care to provided satisfactory services to the covered beneficiaries through these arrangements which were further supplemented by over 20 tie up hospitals on panel in these areas. It was informed that by prompt processing of medical reimbursement bills of the beneficiaries having taken treatment outside these institutions also, disposal of all the pending cases has been done. Stakeholders demanded 12 hour dispensary services for the beneficiaries of ESI Scheme. It was agreed that the demand would be examined alongwith need to place some diagnostic test facilities also at few dispensaries. Members raised concern on non-availability of any ESI Establishment at Katra and Udhampur. |
