Jammu, Feb 10: Tanish Hangloo, Keshav Singh and Vanshvir Singh won gold in their respective weight groups in under-14 category of the ongoing IInd State Sambo Championship, organised by J&K Sambo Association at Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School, Patoli here today.
Tanish bagged first place in 35 kg weight category beating Rishi Radha in the final. Third place shared by Ishan Shan and Vasu. Similarly, in 25 kg category, Keshav Singh secured first position and Musadiq remained second. Naman and Karan shared third place. In 33 kg group, Vanshvir Singh emerged winner beating Sumit in the final bout. Manik and Sajid were joint third.
Today's bouts officiated by the technical penal comprising Akhil Badkuliya, Kawaljeet Singh, Komal Gupta and Rahil Shafi.
Earlier, in today's competition, Managing Director of the host Shastri Memorial School, Ravinder Gupta was special guest. Sunil Koul, Bal Krishan Dhar, Fazal Ahmed, Amrik Singh Chib and Bhanu Jasrotia were among prominent who witnessed today's bouts.
