Miscreants rough up during recruitment rally 2/10/2015 11:23:30 PM Early Times Report Poonch, Feb 10: Following alleged manhandling of a youth participating in recruitment rally of Army in Surankote by a group of some miscreants' sparked protest from locals demanding arrest of the accused. Police sources said that the injured has been identified as Mushid Ahmed, son of Mohammad Qayoom, of Gursain Mendhar. Police said that he was immediately shifted to local hospital for medical treatment wherein doctors stated his condition out of danger. "Young aspirants from different areas of the District had come to take part in the recruitment rally of Territorial Army (TA) at Surankote-Poonch, sources said adding, "due to chaos at rally some youths got engaged in verbal duel with victim who allegedly thrashed him badly. Soon after the incident, a large number of locals of the area staged a protest in demand of action against the accused. Meanwhile, a police team led by SDPO Surankote, Ajay Sharma rushed to the spot and pacified the agitating locals by assuring that all the accused will be arrested soon. Meanwhile police have identified main accused namely as Aurangzaib of Galhuta, Mohammad Niyaz of Harni and three others whose identities yet have to be ascertained till last report came in.
