JAMMU, Feb 10 : Divisional Commissioner Jammu. Shantmanu today inaugurated District Disability Rehabilitation Centre at Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Health Centre, Shastri Nagar Jammu. The Centre is being managed by District Red Cross Society.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu who is also Chairman District Red Cross society was guest of honour on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Commissioner said that District Disability Rehabilitation Centre aims at providing comprehensive support to the persons with different disabilities. He said that the centre has Physiotherapy, Speech and Hearing, Psychological Counselling and Medicine Units to provide therapy and counselling. He also appealed the disabled persons to avail benefit from the rehabilitation centre. Among others, Secretary Red Cross Society, R.C. Puri, Chief Education Officer Jammu, Joginder Kumar Sudan, General Secretary RCS State Branch, Roma Wani, CMO Jammu besides executive members of RCS, doctors, para-medical staff and prominent citizens were present on the occasion. |
