| UGC-general orientation course concludes | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 10: A four week long UGC--General Orientation Course for University and College Teachers organised by the Academic Staff College, University of Jammu in collaboration with Dept of Economics concluded here today. Around 35 University and College Teachers both within and outside the State participated in the GOC.
In his address, Prof Rajnikant, Director, ASC and Chief Guest on the occasion called upon the participating teachers to carry out their duties with utmost devotion and dedication.
Terming the teachers as nation builders, Prof Rajnikant hoped that the participating young teachers shall become the torch bearers for mitigating the social evils in the society and be the instruments of change. He specially complimented the teachers from Kerala for coming all the way to Jammu to attend the GOC.
Earlier Prof Dipanker Sen Gupta, HOD, Economics and Course incharge presented a brief report with regard to the various resource persons and subjects covered during the month long course.
In the concluding session participants also shared their experiences and shared their observations on various sessions of the orientation course.
Ranjeet Kalra, Assistant Director, ASC presented formal vote of thanks.
