| Year on, JKSSB fails to interview for 59 JA posts | | | Bijay Charak

Jammu, Feb 24: The type test of 59 Junior Assistants (JA) state cadre posts conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) in November 2106 has not fetched them jobs as the board has failed to conduct interviews.
An aspirant informed Early Times that the board had advertised 68 state cadre posts including Junior Assistant, Junior Stenographer and driver and in division cadre also advertised more than hundreds of posts in various designation of different departments under advertisement notice 01 of 2016 dated Jan 6, 2016 and the type test of divisional as well as state cadre was conducted in the ending of 2016 but till date board has conducted interview of only division cadre posts.
"Several key departments in state facing acute shortage of clerical staff and to meet the requirement of departments the current government in 2015had forwarded hundreds of Junior Assistant posts to JKSSB for recruitment", sources in board said, adding that 59 posts for six departments including four posts for labour and Employment, six for Public Works department, three for law department, 43 posts for Technical Education/YSS department, one post for Defence Labour Procurement and five posts for General Administration department.
However, sources said that the agency has failed to take the recruitment process ahead. The aspirants have resented the lethargic approach of the board.
Despite repeated call by this Jurno to JKSSB Secretary, he was not available for comments.
