Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 24: A Principal of Government Degree College (GDC) has devised a new strategy to provide ample opportunities to some of blue-eyed to do copying during exams as the invigilating staff, has been forced to take classes during the exams. Sources in the department informed Early Times that for the last some days, the examination for various semesters of graduation degree course, have been going on. Though the invigilating staff has been deputed in the examination halls but the invigilating staff is reportedly directed by the Principal to take classes during the examinations.
"When the examination is going on, the invigilating staff is verbally directed by the Principal to take classes. In papers, they are present in the examination halls as invigilating staff but actually they are taking classes in the classrooms", officials in college informed.
They further said that there was no written order from the Principal office, to take the classes but if some invigilating staff would not take the classes, the Principal admonished the staff members. "The staff members are obeying the dictates of the Principal but if there will be any problem or irregularity found during the exams, ultimately the invigilating staff would be penalized", sources said, adding that the staff members were caught in a situation of devil and deep-sea.
"Actually some of the candidates have been taking examinations, which are close to either Principal or some sycophants. They want to do copying but in presence of invigilating staff it is not possible. So under a well planned conspiracy, the Principal instructed the invigilating staff to take classes, so that the blue-eyed students will easily do copying", sources said.
Sources further said that under the disguise of a academic friendly Principal, he was actually involved in illegal means, to provide benefit to his close-ones. "The University authorities are unaware of the matter and they should intervene in the matter and initiate necessary action against the Principal for such illegal activities", an official said.
