Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 24: Pakistan Army shifting its focus from Jammu region to Kashmir and resorting to unabated ceasefire violations in north Kashmir's Uri and Kupwara sectors is an indication that neighbouring country is planning to send in more terrorists to keep the pot boiling in the state.
Sources told Early Times that hundreds of families living near Line of Control have fled their homes and have shifted to safer places.
"Pakistan Army on Saturday made announcements through public address systems asking people to vacate their homes," sources added.
An official said that Pakistan Army has created war like situation along the LoC especially in Uri sector. "Indian Army giving a befitting reply to the Pakistan shelling has sent the neighboring country into tizzy and its Army has started targeting the civilian areas," he said.
The official said that there are inputs that more than 500 terrorists are waiting at the launching pads to cross over into this side. "The robust counter infiltration grid at place on the Line of Control and alert soldiers have thwarted their attempts and they have suffered heavy casualties during the past one year," he said. "Now Pakistan Army is providing full support to the terrorists and is trying to push them under the garb of the cover fire," the official added.
He said, "Attempts of Pakistan to push terrorists from Jammu region have not materialized. Now it has shifted its focus to Uri sector. Besides making attempts to send terrorists, the Border Action Teams are also trying to attack the Indian Army posts. Pakistan seems to have made it up its mind to go for a war."
A defence analyst said, "It's high time for political leadership of India to sit together and take a call about taking a decisive action against Pakistan. It's targeting the innocent civilians ad is trying to create its hegemony in the region."
He said, "Our troops are ready and they are just waiting for an order to cross the LoC. It seems Pakistan has taken India for granted and has started believing that no counter offensive would be launched. If Pakistan can send terrorists into our territory why can't our soldiers cross the LoC and give the enemy a befitting reply."
He said, "We cannot allow our citizens to suffer anymore. Our Air Force and Army are ready. Pakistan has created a war like situation on borders It needs to be taught a lesson. Only retaliation is not enough. We need to launch a counter offensive to set the records straight."
