Kashmiri Pandit Sabha distributes scholarships among students

Jammu, Feb 27: As a part of Kashmiri Pandit Sabha efforts to give impetus to education of displaced Kashmiri Pandit students especially from weaker section, a function was organized at Kashmiri Pandit Sabha for distribution of Scholarships with M. L. Raina (Relief Commissioner) as the Chief Guest and presided over by K. K. Khosa President KP Sabha. S. L. Bagati (General Secretary) conducted the programme.
The amount of 3 lakhwas donated by Kashmiri Pandit Educational Trust under the Trusteeship of Ashok Koul and B L. Kitchloo. Addressing the gathering Khosa exhorted the students to use the scholarship money only and only for educational purposes. He said that Sabha is continuously harnessing its efforts for financial assistance for the weaker and other deserving sections of the community for their educational progr-amme. He further stressed upon the children to uphold the age old values of respecting of parents and looking after their welfare in the old age. The Chief Guest M. L. Raina, while addressing the audience applauded the Sabha for the efforts it has been making to help the community in distress after migration He implored upon the students to work hard come triumphant in their lives.
The Vote of thanks given by G. J Kampassi Secretary of the Sabha He implored upon the students to phathum deep to achieve excellence in life.
Among others those present on the occasion were Ashwani Koul (Vice-President), Subash Dhar, Ashok Khar, Dr. Usha Tickoo, Jitender Parimoo, Dr. Ashok Smt. Shamma Handoo.
