Jammu, Feb 27: Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir, Jammu is celebrating the annual day function (Sthapana Diwas) of Shri Chandi Mata (Machail Wali) at the Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir, located in the premises of Shri Maha Lakshmi Mandir, Pacca Danga, Jammu on March 1st.
As per press release, considering the Holi festival which is being observed on 1st of March (Thursday), it has been decided that only Havan and Kanjak Poojan will be on the 1st of March 2018 from 9 AM to 12 AM. However, Bhandara will be organized in Brahmin Sabha, Prade Ground, Jammu next day on 02.03.2018 (Friday) from 12:00 noon to 03:00 P.M. and thereafter Kirtan shall be performed on the road outside the premises of Shri Maha Lakshmi Ji Temple, Pacca Danga, Jammu from 03:00 P.M. to 08:00 P.M. as usual.
To seek the blessings of goddess Chandi, the function is likely to be attended by a large number of devotees from all walks of life besides VIP's. Since the number of devotees thronging the Laxmi Mandir, Pacca Danga to seek blessing of Goddess Chandi every year on the Sthapana Diwas, the Sanstha which is managing this congregation has urged upon the concerned authorities for making adequate security and other arrangements for smooth organization of the event & restricting of vehicular movement in the area on 2nd of March 2018.
