UDHAMPUR, Feb 27: One person was killed while three others were seriously injured when a Maruti 800 car in which they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down into deep gorge in Pancheri area of district Udhampur. According to sources, a car bearing registration number JK02F 9506, which was on its way to Udhampur met with an accident near Galli Chulna in Panchari area of district Udhampur. Sources said that driver of the car lost the control over the vehicle and was skidded off the road and rolled down into deep gorge. Police with the help of locals shifted the injured persons to nearby PHC where doctors declared one Bodh Raj son of Balak Ram, 65, resident of Janouri Chulna Tehsil Pancheri, as brought Dead. The injured were identified as Narinder Kumar,35, son of Khem Raj, Hans Raj, 50, son of Gian Chand and Anita Devi, 18, daughter of Des Raj, all residents of Janouri Chulna, Tehsil Pancheri. Police have registered a case and started investigation. |
