JKICS urges State Govt to organize job fairs to generate employment | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Feb 27: J&K Intellectual Civil Society (JKICS), New Delhi has appealed the J&K government to organize job fairs and skill development programmes for generating employment and for transforming the state. SS Sodhi, Chairman, J&K Intellectual Civil Society, New Delhi requested the J&K government to organize job fairs and skill development programmes at every district headquarters of the state, in order to provide job opportunities to the unemployed youth as J&K state has the highest unemployment rate as compared to other states of India. In this connection he interacted with many unemployed youths, prominent citizens and others who have been facing lot of problems because of unemployment. Sodhi suggested the J&K government to invite the private companies, multinational companies and big organizations / business houses to organize job fairs to adjust the unemployed youths of J&K state on the spot as per their qualification. He further suggested the state government to also organize skill development programs at every district headquarter of the state to enable the unemployed youths to equip themselves for either getting the jobs suitably or start their own professional work, as has been the practice in other states of the country. |
