Army tightens noose; OGWS, terrorist supporters go into tizzy
3/7/2018 10:42:04 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 7: Security Forces building pressure on the terrorists and their supporters in Kashmir has created ripples among the terrorist ranks and their supporters in the Valley.
Sources told Early Times that the over ground workers, who used to help the terrorists with the logistic support to carry out the attacks at the security forces have gone into their shell since the day four persons accompanying the terrorists were killed in a shootout in south Kashmir's Shopian area.
An official while talking to Early Times said, "Terrorists cannot carry out any attack on the security forces without the help of the OGWs. All the attacks which take place on the security forces are well planned and OGWs play a vital role in these attacks."
He said, "Earlier security forces used to target the gun wielding terrorists only. Now they have changed their strategy. Those helping the terrorists are as good as terrorists and they won't be spared."
A source said, "Number of OGWs is more than the armed terrorists. If they don't stop helping the ultras then no one can help them. The focus of the security forces is on making south Kashmir militancy free."
He said, "Security Forces have tightened the noose around the OGWs and the others who provide shelter to the terrorists. The frequency of Cordon and Search Operations has increased and all the attempts are being made to wipe out the insurgency from the volatile areas"
The official said, "Pakistan on the other hand is trying hard to push in more terrorists into Kashmir as the terrorists handlers know it very well that local terrorists are not that well trained. It has been decided that before Pakistan indulges in any misadventure a full-fledged exercise would be undertaken to either eliminate the terrorists or make them surrender."
Another official said, "Situation cannot be allowed to go out of control. We don't want that nineties should be repeated. Anyone who supports or takes part in any subversive activity is our target. Now it depends upon the people what they choose."
A source said, "Investigation s will reveal the role of the youth who were accompanying terrorists in Shopian. Army is firm on it version that two speeding cars attacked an army patrol but before they could inflict any damage they were shot dead."
He said, "Army has provided enough evidences to substantiate its claim about the Shopian killings."
