SRINAGAR, Mar 7: Even after the order of transfer from office of the Mission Director, the section officer is not willing to leave his office with the result some lower rung employees blames that favoritism has brought bad reputation to the department concerned.
Recently Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Social Welfare Department Civil Secretariat issued an order vide no: 67-SW of 2018 dated 16-02-2018, and vide dispatch no: SWB/ICDS/94/transfer/2017.
The order said that, Shri Farooq Ahmad, Section Officer, ICDS, J&K under orders of transfer to the Directorate of Social Welfare Kashmir, in terms of Government Order No: 269-SW of 2017 dated 28-08-2017 is deemed to have been relieved from this office of Mission Director, ICDS.
However reliable sources on anonymity conditions said that, "the Section Officer is not willing to leave the present place of posting due to unknown reasons, as he was transferred few months back after which the next order of transfer was issued but he is still enjoying the plum posting".
Sources said that, once the order of transfer is issued, why officials hesitate to join to their new place of posting, one can understand they don't moves an inch unless and until they are not having backing of some political workers under whose patronage they are working.
Fact of the matter is that "from last one year social welfare department has remained in news for wrong reasons starting from adjustment of Disability Commissioner to allegations of corruption favoritism, nepotism and all", sources in the department told early times.
Sources said that "in the process of engaging Human resource in central sponsored ICPS, integrated Child protection Scheme, person with disabilities under various banners are also protesting against social welfare Department and knocking doors from Rajbhavan to social welfare ministry but still their legitimate demands were not addressed yet'.
Pertinent to mention here that in the recent past State Mission Director, ICDS remained in wrong news after they issued a final selection list of health and nutrition moblizer in the department concerned.
The department issued a final selection list of Health and Nutrition Moblizer vide there order no: 231 SMD OF 2018 Dated 24-02-2018, with reference to advertisement no: 02 of 2016 dated 23-09-2016, Govt order no: 362-SW of 20-17 dated 19-12-2017 and DD ICDS letter no: DDK/ICDS/5238-41 Dated 24-02-2018.
The aggrieved candidates from across the valley has alleged that there was clear nepotism and favoritism in this recruitment process by selecting blue eyed candidates who are close relatives of ruling dispensation. |
