Udhampur Mar 8: The working of Municipal Committee in Udhampur can be better judged from the fact that three sheds constructed for water ATMs almost a year back are still waiting to get the said ATMs installed in them.
With the upcoming summer season the need for potable water will naturally increase and the immediate installation of these ATMs will be highly appreciated.
It was Municipal Committee Udhampur that constructed these sheds in June 2017 at three places MH Road, Sailan Talab and in front of Municipal Committee at Town Hall Udhampur. Surprisingly, even after the lapse of almost a year, no water ATM has been installed at any of the three places even Sources informed that if installed a glass of mineral water would cost Re 1 or 2 rupees at these ATMs. If one puts in Re 1 or 2 in the water ATM, mineral water will come out of the tap connected with the machine and can be collected in a glass and after the glass gets filled the water stops, added Sunil Sharma another local
The locals have urged the Municipal Committee to install the ATMs as soon as possible. |
