Samba cricketers call on DC Samba, allege pick and chose in JKCA district Committee

SAMBA, May 5: Samba cricketers led by Vikas Sharma former cricketer of Samba today call on Deputy Commissioner Samba Rajinder Singh Tara and apprised him about the ongoing scenario of the District Cricket Committee Samba where a caucus of favouritism is operating in Jet speed.
Sharma said that JKCA has adopted the pick and choose policy for the Samba district cricket committee. He alleged that the district cricket committee Samba has been reduced to a committee of just two just few blue eyed persons who has adopted the mode of putting his kith and Kin in District tournament committee.
Vikas Sharma said cricketers of Samba met few days back to the official of the JKCA at Bhatindi Jammu but they have not paid any heed to the demands and request made by the cricketers of Samba.
He said that the JKCA has assigned the job to some blue eyed persons in hush hush manner for the organising the district Cricket tournament by whereas the genuine cricketer of Samba at large may not able to get the fair trial opportunity in the selection process which is one of the major cause for the backwardness of cricket and other sports in Samba and other districts.
As that lakhs of rupees was provided by the BCCI to JKCA promote the cricket infrastructure and game at district level which is just managed in Samba by some blue-eyed persons in clandestine manner, said Sharma. Vikas Sharma also said that DC Samba has keenly listened cricketers and assured for justice. Besides this, Samba Cricketers also appealed to the High Court appointed Judges as administrators of the J&K Cricket Association Justice C K Prasad, former judge of the Supreme Court and Justice Syed Rafat Alam, ex-Chief Justice of MP and Allahabad High Courts, and Ashiq Hussain Bukhari Chief Executive Officer, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association for intervene into the matter and resolve the issue of the District Cricket committee Samba as there is lot of anger and resentment among the youth of the district Samba for unprofessional management of the District Cricket Committee. It is pertinent to mention that Samba District has three Sub-Division including Samba Gaghwal and Vijaypur, consist of Tehsil Vijaypur, Ghagwal, Samba, Ramgarh, Rajpura and Bari Brahamana which is further subdivided into nine blocks. The others cricketers who were attended the meeting Sanjeev Gupta, Prabhat Singh Charak, Anil Sharma, Deepak Singh, Pawan Singh, Rajiv Jasrotia, Anil Singh, Aman Singh Sambyal, Vinod Singh Sambyal, Raghubir Singh, Naresh Kumar, Sahil Jasrotia, Pardeep Khajuria, Dhaman Sharma and many other budding talents of Samba.
