Rs 6 lakhs for terrorists, only Rs 2 lakhs for NoKs of dust storm victims
BJP appeasing anti-nationals, ignoring desh bakths
5/6/2018 12:04:06 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: Jammu and Kashmir government gives Rs 6 lakhs to terrorists, who surrender, as compensation while Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced only Rs 2 lakhs for the next of kin of the victims, who died in a dust storm in different parts of the country. What an irony!
The PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir has announced a new surrender policy, according to which, a terrorist who surrenders will be rewarded with Rs 6 lakhs in the form of an FDR (fixed deposit) that will have a lock-in period of 10 years and would become encashable upon display of good behaviour. While the FD will have a lock-in period of 10 years, the surrendered terrorists would be able to receive Rs 4000 in interest per month with immediate effect.
The horrendous dust storm which hit different states and claimed more than 125 lives snatched many bread winners from their families and left them without any support. "It's strange that for desh bakhts government has only Rs 2 lakhs, while for the terrorists and anti-nationals it has Rs 6 lakhs," said an analyst. " The people who died were the citizens of this very country and the NoKs of the victims have been shattered. They deserve all the possible help but they have been provided peanuts."
He said on the other hand a terrorist gets Rs 6 lakhs for killing a soldier. "This pampering has to stop. Since the day PDP has come into power in Jammu and Kashmir it has been making all the possible attempts to appease the separatists. To a great extent it has also succeeded in getting the support from BJP led government in New Delhi. It seems saffron party doesn't want to annoy its ally in Jammu and Kashmir and its going out of way to fulfill even it's illegitimate demands," he added.
An observer said, "BJP led government at the Centre needs to introspect. Rather than giving incentives to terrorists it should focus on the nationalist people who live and die for their country."
