| Transferred a yr ago, powerful SI yet to be relieved | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: A Sub-Inspector posted in Jammu-Kathua-Samba (JKS) range is allegedly manipulating things in the police department for defying order of his transfer.
If sources are to be believed, the SI, who earlier remained posted as in-charge police post and Station House Officer (SHO) in two police stations and presently attached in Police Lines of one of the districts of the JKS range, was transferred around one year ago.
"The cop who remained posted in the capacity of in-charge police post and SHO too in two different police stations in the district was transferred to another range around one year ago", said a police source adding that he is manipulating things in the department and avoiding his relieving.
The cop in question who is manipulating things for avoiding his reliving is presently on leave.
He is said to be very close to a former minister in the Mehbooba-led Cabinet.
Sensing tough time for him, the cop has maintained congenial relation with a new Cabinet minister who is also native of the same district where the cop is presently posted.
Sources said the cop remained posted for around six months as SHO in one of the police stations which is situated along the Jammu-Pathankote National Highway (NH) and served for around one year each as SHO in another police station and in-charge police post which is designated as prime post of the district. |
