Udhampur, May 12: While the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kathua has been attached for adopting pick and choose policy in attaching teachers his counterpart in Udhampur dares to carry on such practice unhesitatingly.
Udhampur CEO Jatu Ram has attained notoriety for doing the wrong practice of attaching teachers throwing all the norms to winds and that too when there is scarcity of teachers in rural areas.
Infact government issued a crcular in April 2018 and ordered detachment of all the teachers who were attached in different places of eduction department. But CEO Udhampur ignored the circular and use pick and choice system for the detachment. It seems that the CEO fears none as aggrieved teachers are rebuked by him on objecting to his dictatorial attitude.
A social worker Neeraj Gupta has registered complaint against the CEO at CM's grievances cell and at other platforms.
Sources informed that over 50 teachers have been attached In different places like CEO office , library etc but the CEO did not detach all of them.
Insiders have said that anger against the CEO is growing among the affected teachers and they can stage a protest any time against the CEO.
When contacted, Education Minister Zulfkar Ali said that he will look into the matter soon.
