Early Times Report

Sunderbani, May 12: A woman went missing nine months ago is still untraceable in Sunderbani tehsil due to nonchalant behavior of the administration and high headedness of the police.
The missing woman has been identified as Asha Devi, wife of Ashok Kumar, resident of Nala Makol (Siya Devak).
The maternal parents of the missing woman who have only her mother in the house lodged a complaint against the in-laws of Asha Devi and suspecting her husband Ashok Kumar as the prime suspect in doing away with her daughter.
Though she said that five suspects were rounded up by the police as a fake exercise and without committing with the investigation, left the case unsolved in the middle .
She said that three minor children of the missing Asha Devi are in her custody and she being widow since long and having no source of income has been reduced to poverty unable to support the children.
She also said the police had even conducted a narco test on one of the alleged culprit in this case but left the other four in which Asha Devi's husband is also included.
People of Siya Devak said that since Ashok Kumar is from a well off family and he has good influence in the high police officials; no investigation has been forwarded since then.
They also alleged that since mother of Asha Devi, who is only resource woman and very poor is unable to support the children of the missing woman should be provided resources for the upkeep and upbringing of the children also.
A police Senior official at Police Station Sunderbani on condition of anonymity confirmed that since Ashok Kumar enjoys good influence in the police department, the case has been abandoned midway and narco test to be conducted was also stopped.
Mother of Asha Devi has appealed the Director General of police to trace out their missing daughter.
