| One injured in Kishtwar landslide | | |

Kishtwar, May 13: In a fresh case of landslide at Kishtwar, a driver of tipper identified by the sources as 26 year old Sajjad Hussain son of Ghulam Hussain Raina resident of Kuchhal Kishtwar was injured when a Vehicle No. JK06-2355 (Tipper) comes under the influence of landslide in Cherhar area on the outskirts of Kishtwar town.
As soon as the accident took place, the other people present on spot immediately shifted him to District Hospital Kishtwar where Doctors treated him.
The eyewitness said that the ill fated vehicle was on its way to collect stones from the crusher. They said that suddenly huge bolders along with mudslide hit the vehicle resulted into the injury to the driver while other laborers manage to escape. The doctors at District Hospital said that his condition is stable now and he is out of danger. He was later shifted to Government Medical College & Hospital Jammu for advance treatment.
Continuous rainfall in Kishtwar District since last several days is said to be the main cause of the landslide. |
