Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 13: Dummy admissions in various government as well as private schools have been going on unnoticed in various districts of Jammu, whereas the students are actually attending the coaching centres to crack various competitive exams.
Sources informed Early Times that one could easily find hundreds of students attending coaching classes during school hours in one or other corner of Jammu city.
"Most of these students are in class 11th or class 12th. Though many of these students, who are attending coaching classes, have taken a break from regular studies and have been preparing for competitive examinations such as NEET and other professional courses but a big chunk among these students are those, who are actually the students or some private or government schools", sources said.
The sources informed that these students have taken admission in the private schools and have been paying regular monthly fee to the school administration but in return they only sought complete attendance, which the school administration has been giving under an agreement.
"The students are already studying Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics in the coaching classes and the syllabus is same in the schools. At one hand their syllabus is covered in the coaching centres and they finally take exams as per the school enrolment", sources said.
Sources divulged that even in some districts also, the vans of private coaching centres took students in the morning and board off in the evening but their attendance has been going on in some private or government schools.
"It is a nexus going on in Jammu as well as other districts but administration has deliberately turned silent over the matter as the students, who have dummy admissions in the schools belong to influential families, so everyone is silent over the matter", sources said, adding that if the Directorate of School Education officials would launch raids on the private coaching centres, the whole nexus would be exposed but there were bleak possibilities of any action.
