Srinagar/Jammu, Dec 1: During the course of inspection by the enforcement team of the State Taxes Department in Srinagar, a liability on account of non filing of GSTR3B return amounting to Rs. 1.8 Crore was found against M/s Himalyan Motors , Tengpora, Nowgam, Srinagar and Rs. 1.99 Crore against M/s Lands and Automotive Pvt Ltd Parimpora, Bye Pass, Srinagar. They were directed on spot to clear their tax liability within seven days failing which action under J&K SSGT Act shall be instituted against them.
Meanwhile at Jammu the State Tax sleuths during various nakas laid in and around Jammu checked various vehicles transporting taxable goods. Around twelve vehicles carrying taxable goods without valid documents/ e-way bills were seized. Penalty to the tune of Rs. 7.5 lac was levied and recovered from the defaulters. Continuing with the drive already launched to tighten noose around GSTR3B and return non-filers, on the directions of the Commissioner, State Taxes P.K Bhat, enforcement team of the State Taxes Department headed by Manzoor Ahmed Wani, Additional Commissioner, State Taxes (Administration & Enforcement), Kashmir, conducted day long inspections at Srinagar. The Inspections were conducted by the team comprising Rouf Ahmed Shah, Sakhi M. M Khan, Owais Mushtaq, Aijaz Choudhary, Mohammed Muneer, Nuzhat Qureshi and Inspectors of the Department.
The business centres inspected include M/s Bath Impresssion, Chanpora, Srinagar M/s New Rajasthan Marbles, Bye Pass, Chanpora, Srinagar M/s Nice Marbles, Bye Pass, Chanpora, Srinagar M/s Shah Marbles, Bye Pass, Chanpora, Srinagar M/s H.K.Home Solutions, Bye Pass, Chanpora, Srinagar M/s A.D. Marbles, Bye Pass, Chanpora, Srinagar M/s Himalyan Motors , Tengpora, Nowgam, Srinagar M/s Lands and Automotive Pvt Ltd Parimpora, Bye Pass Srinagar.
