Vaibhav, Stany share top spot with 8 pts in Chess

JAMMU, Dec 16: Vaibhav Suri of PSPB and GA Stany, who only yesterday got the IM norm, were joint leaders with eight points at the end of tenth round in the National Senior Open Chess Championship underway at Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, here today.
Vaibhav and Stany are being followed by four other players, GM Aravindh Chithambaram, GM Deepan Chakkravarthy, GM Bakre Tejas and IM C R G Krishna with 7.5 points each.
Earlier, in the 10th round, Vaibhav defeated GM Anurag Mhamal of Goa while Stany trounced GM Sengupta Deep of PSPB.
