| Politicians, officers skip Vijay Diwas event at Udhampur | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Dec 16: In a brazen incident of insensitivity and disrespect to the Martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of motherland , none of the politicians including former MLA and the Chairman Municipal committee Udhampur turned up at a program organized to pay tributes to the martyrs.
Purav Sainik Sewa Parishad organized an Programme at Shaheedi Smark , Shaheed Maj Narayan Singh chowk Udhampur to pay tributes to the heroes of 1971 Indo-Pak war in which large number of Ex Service men , Veer Nari's , Students as well as prominent citizens turned up, but prominent Political leaders including Ex MLA Udhampur , President Udhampur municipal council and Higher officials of Police as well as District Administration kept away from the function, eventhough the Shaheedi Smark is situated very near to the police Station Udhampur.
Founder Member of Purav Sainik Sewa Parishad Col. K.S Juneja slammed the Politicians as well as officers of Police and civil administration and said that he was very much sure that Dr. Yogeshwar Gupta Newly elected UMC President and district officers will join for this event but he regretted that these people had no respect for the martyrs of the nation. |
