J&K team won by 130 runs
12/16/2018 9:46:09 PM
Jammu, Dec 16: Team Jammu and Kashmir registered their second win of the Ranji match by 130 runs against team Haryana in the ongoing Elite C group Ranji Match being played at Ch Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Rohtak Haryana. Resuming the day three of the match for 49 for three, team Haryana had no moment in the second innings with wickets falling regularly. Haryana team was bundled out for 91 runs in the first session on the third day of the match. Irfan Pathan took a five-wicket haul in the second innings giving too little chances to the opponents. While Umar Nazir Mir grabbed three wickets in the second innings. Umar Nazir was adjusted man of the match for his 8 wicket match haul.
Earlier Haryana won the toss and elected to bowl first which proved good toss to win on good bowling track. None of the batsman from Jammu and Kashmir despite getting start gave a good big inning score at the scoreboard. Batsman fell one after another while playing sloppy shots. Haroon was the highest scorer for Jammu and Kashmir scoring just 26 runs.
Captain Parvez Rasool and Irfan Pathan both perished to International leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal as team Jammu and Kashmir bundling out for 161 runs on the first day of the match. Ajit Chahal and Yuzvendra Chahal both grabbed three wickets in the first innings.
With good batting line in Haryana team, one would have thought that they will take the first innings lead but failed in doing so. Team Haryana fell short of 16 runs as M Mudhasir and Umar Nazir's combined heroics in the bowling session gave a tough fight to the opponents.
Mudhasir took four wickets while Nazir took a five-wicket haul in the first innings of the match. Rohit Parmod scored 41 runs for his team. With 16 runs lead in the second innings, team Jammu and Kashmir displayed some discipline in the match.
Owais Shah Scored brilliant half-century gave little hope to the team to put a decent lead at the scoring board. He scored 71 runs in quick session hitting 8 boundaries and two sixes. With Shubham and Parveez Rasool scoring runs in mid-thirties team Jammu and Kashmir managing to score 205 runs in 54 over with a strike rate of 3.77 runs in second innings.
Team Jammu and Kashmir are placed six in the elite group c table with 2 wins, three losses, and one draw. Jammu and Kashmir will next play against Odisha at Gandhi Memorial Science College ground Jammu.
