PLS releases Punjabi Novel of Seerat

Jammu, Dec 28: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Regd.), Jammu organized a literary event at K L Saigal Hall of J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, Jammu to release a Punjabi Novel (Revised edition) titled 'Bharam Bhulayian' by Prof. Surinder Singh Seerat, a well known Ghazal writer and a novelist of Jammu, now an NRI in Callifornia (US). Well known Punjabi writer from Kashmir S. Kanwal Kashmiri presided over the function and Dr. Mohan Tyagi from Punjabi University, Patiala was the Chief Guest. Dr. Baljeet Kaur, HoD, Deptt. of Punjabi, University of Jammu was the Special Guest on this occasion. Dr. Monojit, President, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha and Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina, General Secretary, PLS shared the dais.
Welcoming the guests Dr. Monojit gave the details of the activities of PLS and gave a brief of the contribution of Prof. Surinder Singh Seerat.
Papers of Dr. Mamta and Prof. Mohan Tyagi were presented on the work of life of Prof. Surinder Singh Seerat's second edition of 'Bharam Bhulayian'.
Dr. Baljeet Kaur in her address told that Deptt. of Punjabi is working on all the Punjabi writers of Jammu & Kashmir state. She said that now a team of scholars have been raised who can have discussions on the life and works of the state's writers.
