Shaheedi Hafta commemorated by Sikh Sangat

Jammu, Dec 30: To commemorate the Martyr's week (Shahidi Hafta) of Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji (Tenth Guru of Sikhism), Mata Gujar Kaur ji and other Sikhs; Sikh Aid Jammu, Sikh Naujawan Sabha Upper Gadigarh Mahant Bachitter Singh Ji Nagar organized various programmes from 22nd to 27th December 2018 and prize distribution took place today followed by Guru ka langer.
During the whole Martyr's week children from age group of 4-16 years participated in various lecture/ poetry competition. Children who excel in different groups were recognized and awards were distributed among different categories. More than 150 kids participated and their efforts were highly appreciated by various dignitaries.
Prof. Dr. Yudhvir Singh Corporator Ward No. 73 was chief guest and shared his views on life and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Sikhism. Whole Martyr's week programme was organized with the help of local Sikh Sangat, Mahant Bachitter Singh Nagar Gurudwara Parbandak Committee and Sikh Naujawan Sabha Sikh Aid. Vote of thanks was presented by Paramjeet Singh Pumma (President Sikh Aid Jammu) who also asked for the continuous support for upcoming events. He also thanked Sikh Aid Jammu, S. Manjeet Singh Bali MD Bansal Classes, Master Rajinder Singh Ji, S. Gurdev Singh, Master Assa Singh, Sardarni Harbans Kour, S. Paramjeet Singh for their special guidance, advice and support in organizing the programmes.
