Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 30: SOS International has castigated the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) for allegedly deceiving POJK refugees and DPs. According to press release, the indefinite Chain Dharna kick started on December 27, 2018 by the SOS entered in its 4tth day today. Today's group led by V. K. Datta and accompanied by Dharam Vir Gupta, Pt. Amar Nath, Aman Sharma, Ankur Sharma & Balwan Singh sat on Chain dharna at S. O. S. International office at Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. V. K. Datta levelled serious charges against the successive governments for discrimination meted out to this most unprivileged community by not giving them the rights to live in a dignified way.
The BJP has betrayed us the most and the discrimination evinced by the central government with our displaced community has compelled us to teach lesson to the party in the forthcoming assembly & parliament elections by ensuring their defeat' he added. Datta said that those sitting at the helm of affairs today and teaching human values first see themselves how they have violated our human rights for the last more than 7 decade and more than 3 generations are facing the heat and living in inhuman conditions because of discrimination with this community resulting more than 80% people are living below poverty line and constrained to live hand to mouth and the government never talked about the welfare of this community. "Those who clamour themselves to be champions of people always talk and implement about the Kashmir centric policies and take extra care for their illegitimate requirements. While expressing anguish against the government has warned the government not to cheek the patience of this community and ultimately compel them to take drastic action by keeping fast-unto-death/self immolation. "It is high time by the government to accede to the legitimate demands of displaced persons raised by them within the frame work of constitution of India and the State of J&K" he added.
