MENDHAR, Dec 30: Assistant Executive Engineer, PMGSY, Mendhar has approached police to lodge FIR and initiate action under law against a person for abusing, threatening and trying to physically assault him while he was inspecting road construction in Poonch district.
Er Zaheer Ahmad Khan Assistant Executive Engineer PMGSY Sub Division Mendhar in his complaint to police said, "I visited Maidan to Pathanteer road on December 28 in connection with the inspection of ongoing work. As I reached Km 4th, the above named person (Mohd Naseer) suddenly appeared and started abusing and threatening me in presence of concerned Assistant Engineer and representative of contractor".
"I somehow managed to escape from the spot," he said, adding, "It cannot be over ruled that the said person might be hired by some people to hurt me or kill me as I had been pressing for quality in work" he narrated.
The executive engineer said he was performing field duty and was not possible for him to visit the site as there was every apprehension of risk to his life.
"It is therefore requested that an FIR may be lodged and enquiry may be conducted so that the rule of law is maintained and the undersigned is allowed to perform the assigned duty fearlessly" he added. |
