JAMMU, Dec 30:Executive Magistrate granted 7 days police remand of an employee of State Education Department for allegedly raping a minor girl in school premises.
It is pertinent to mention here that a person, working as peon in Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Satwari falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station, was arrested on Friday for allegedly outraging the modesty of a minor girl student.
Police said, "The accused Asif Choudhary, son of Shahdin, resident of Gujjar Nagar reportedly locked the girl student of class 11 inside a class room and raped her." The victim (name withheld), student of same school narrated the incident to her parents, who reported the mater to police. A case under section 376 of RPC has been registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station. Further investigation into the case has been started. |
