Jammu, Jan 2: Gandhi Nagar police today claimed to have recovered a missing girl within 24 hours of her missing.
Police spokesman said that yesterday one Ashok Kumar of Digiana area reported at Gandhi Nagar police station that his minor girl who had gone to School and did not return back.
Acting on this, a case under FIR 03/2019 under relevant sections of law was registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
"During investigation, different teams from Gandhi Nagar were despatched to suspected locations to trace the missing girl", said spokesman.
He further said that the said girl was recovered from Rajbagh, Kathua and Police worked out case within 24 hours. She was handed over to her legal heirs after completion of legal formalities under operation Muskan.
