Early Times Report

Kishtwar, Jan 2: Snubbing and showing a big thumb to General Administration Department (GAD), the Project Manager Integrated Watershed Management Project (IWMP) despite GAD orders has failed to repatriate two Agriculture Extension Assistants even after three months since Secretary to the Government, Agriculture Production Department issued the order following GAD,s directions.
As per details available with Early Times, Agriculture Production Department in response to Circular No. 22-GAD of 2018 dated 6-7-2018 from GAD and Government Order No. 1255-GAD of 2018 dated 9-8-2018 also from GAD, issued order No. Agriculture/NG/Gen/104/2018 Dated 11-10-2018 stated that " it is hereby ordered that the following Agriculture Extension Assistants presently on deputation to IWMP, Kishtwar in terms of Government order No. 236-Agri of 2016 dated 27-9-2016 are hereby repatriated and shall report to Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu for further duties with immediate effect" read the order, but despite the clear cut directions from the government, Project Manger IWMP fail to relieve both of them.
Talking to Early Times, the sources said that both the Agriculture Extension Assistants are close to BJP so as the Project Manager IWMP who holds the additional charge of the post as Government fail to post full fledged Project Manager IWMP in Kishtwar District since last nearly two years.
The sources said that both the employees had taken the department at ransom and taking the regular employees of the department due to political backings and official patronage.
It is not only the Project Manager IWMP Kishtwar who violates the GAD orders, but concerned DDO of Agriculture Department also withdraw their salaries till November 2018 in violation of the successive government employees.
Several people visiting the office of IWMP are facing the problem due to non availability of senior officials in department and called upon the Governor Administration to post full fledged Project Manager for IWMP Kishtwar so that people could not suffer any more.
