DC Anantnag suspends 4 docs for remaining absent

Anantnag, Jan 2: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik today suspended four doctors posted at Public Health Centre Sallar for being absent from their duties without seeking authorization from the concerned authorities.
The DC issued the orders during his visit to PHC Sallar where he issued on spot suspension orders for absent doctors.
The DC also visited PHC Sirigufara and enquired about the facilities being provided to the patients. He directed the authorities to provide all medicare facilities, besides the heating arrangements to the patients.
Later, the DC also chaired the grievance redressal interactive public darbars in Tehsil Sallar and Sirifgufara, which was attended by the people from the adjacent villages of both the Tehsils. During the Darbar, people raised various problems and issues faced by them with regard to power, water supply, construction of lanes, drains, road widening, approach roads to the villages and repairs of damaged transformers. The people in the darbar also demanded construction of New Office Building for Tehsildar Sallar, which is presently functioning in a rented building. The people also pressed for the construction of passenger shed at PHC Sallar and up gradation of PHC Sallar.
The DC assured that new Building for Tehsildar will be constructed soon for which land has been identified and funds have been released. He also directed PDD & PHE departments to ensure renovation of roof covering of filtration plant at Saller, for which funds will be provided by the district administration. Exen PDD was directed to provide LTHT conductor and Poles for the villages that had put forth demands for the same. The inhabitants of Awoora Gujjar Basti also demanded for supply of safe drinking water and Power supply on proper schedule.
The DDC assured the people that their genuine demands. The officers from district administration and Tehsil administration Sallar and Sirigufara, besides SDM Pahalgam were also present in the awami darbar.
