Vishal Bhat Memorial Tournament held at Jagti

Jammu, Jan 8: A three day Vishal Bhat Memorial Tournament held at Jagti Township, Nagrota in which total 18 Cricket teams and 8 teams of Volleyball players participated.
Preeti Sapru Veteran actress and Social Activist was Chief Guest and S. Gurdeep Singh Sasan Vice President National Conference Jammu Province presided over the function. Tej Sapru Veteran film actor and Vijay Saraf were Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering Preeti Sapru appreciated the organizers for holding such kinds of events which creates sense of belongingness and channelize the energy of the youths towards constructive side.
She further said that such events are necessary for the young generations which keeps them fit and fine and also keeps them away from the menace of drugs and other such related things. She also assured the organizers that in future she will continue to help them to organize such events and also assured the gathering that no youth should be deprived of their capability to due to lack of resources and further said she is always there to help them to achieve their goal.
While addressing the gathering Gurdeep Singh Sasan lauded the team efforts who achieved the victory and congratulated to organizer Sonu for organizing such Tournaments which helps the youths and also leads them towards positive activities.
He said that to keep the body and mind fit sports activities are most essential which keeps complete harmony between soul and body. He further emphasized that these activities persuade and inspire the youth to participate in sports activities and assure that his services will always be available for those who are interested to adopt sports as their career. On this occasion, Sasan strongly castigated the Govt. for its failure to provide any kind of moral or financial help to the organizers, who on their own organized such a big type of Tournament in which so many teams participated and the programme proved to be grand successful.
He appealed to the Governor to direct the concerned departments related towards Sports, in future they should encourage such activities and help these organizations to utilize the skill of youths towards positivity. He also offered to adopt any girl child who wants to persue her career as athlete in any field were she feels that she can achieve her target.
On this occasion, tributes were paid to Vishal Bhat who lost his life at very young age. Later on Preeti Sapru and Gurdeep Singh Sasan distributed prizes among the winning teams in cricket Nagrota Riders and in Volleyball Jammu Line, unbeatables and Seven Stars.
